At this station, we will test your strength, endurance, and agility while you negotiate the Darby Queen Obstacle Course.

Teams will begin the course according to the results of the lottery draw.

You will negotiate 25 obstacles on a course of varying terrain in the shortest amount of time possible. You must properly negotiate each obstacle or you will be assessed as a NO GO for that obstacle, in accordance with the Task, Conditions, and Standards. Refusal to attempt any given obstacle will result in your team being disqualified from the Darby Queen event. Team members must stay together – you cannot start the next obstacle until your partner completes the previous obstacle. If you are caught from behind by another team, the grader will pull you off the course, time still running, and allow the faster team to pass. Darby Queen cadre will start each team when the team immediately in front of them has completed the Skyscraper obstacle. 

Teams will be ranked in a tiered system by the number of GOs received and then by overall time. Each obstacle will be graded on an individual basis. Your team will be considered a double NO-GO if both competitors fail to negotiate an obstacle.

Competitors must negotiate each obstacle on an individual basis with the exception of the Skyscraper obstacle. The Skyscraper obstacle is the only partner-assisted obstacle.

Upon completion of the Darby Queen, you will be escorted to the next event by your grader.
